Big Matmi welcome to our new addition to the Development team, Glen Hunter, who started with us in November.
How did you get into development?
It’s weird, at first I had a craving passion to become a 2D / 3D artist however was fed a spoonful of wisdom and code to digest and manipulate (in my first year of university). Accompanied with my acquired knowledge (at the time) and the daily ritual of having to turn my computers on and off I quickly identified a challenge awaiting to be overcome!
Anyhow long story short, my mobile application enabled me to simply execute actions on listening devices from a touch of a button and from anywhere around the world – this is where my journey began!
What do you enjoy the most about developing?
The ability to transform and manipulate ideas into interactive story telling games somewhat infuses me with excitement, accompanied with the constant challenges immensely motivates me.
What has been your proudest dev moment?
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you want to take with you and why?
Helicopter – Don’t intend on being there for so long
Satellite Phone – Just in case I get bored on the flight home
Barrel of water – I can live for a few days without food but not water.
Tell us an unique / amusing fact about yourself.
One of my most remembered childhood memory was surprisingly when I went to catch a ball caught it turned around and head-butted a wall, cried and shouted for my mum.
Any tips for budding devs?
Always find time to learn more, never stop progressing, better yourself and don’t be stuck in an infinite loop of repetition, if you do, break out and never return! #codehumour
