You may remember our work on DiaryZapp – a digital learning diary aimed at kids that we’ve been working on over the last year or so and we’re delighted that it’s been shortlisted for the UK App Awards 2018, which are due to take place in November. DiaryZapp is shortlisted for two awards – Best Child App and Best Educational App – so we’ve got two chances to shine!
Designed for use by kids aged between 5 and 10, National Literary Trust approved DiaryZapp is deliberately free from in App advertising and purchases and has already been recognised with a 5 star rating on the Educational App Store and a 4 star review from Common Sense Media.
Nurturing creativity, DiaryZapp encourages kids to craft and share their stories with a range of tools. They can write, animate drawings, edit photos and colour their entries. They are inspired to explore language with prompts and suggestions, and are rewarded with stickers for a tale well Zapped!
It has been just the sort of project we thrive on, where technology becomes a platform for development, and we have our fingers crossed for a win at the UK App awards against some tough competition.
