video killed the radio star...more on that laterViral videos and viral games have a lot in common because people like to be entertained! Youtube is proof of that (and don’t let stuffy board directors tell you otherwise). A successful viral video has to get a reaction, it has to be memorable, and in just a few vital seconds too so they’re an art form of their own. Closely related to advertising, but with one gravity defying difference; people want to watch them. They’re the Smash, Hamlet and “Compare the meerkat” short films of their time. Viral videos turn advertising on its head in another way too. They often poke fun at the company they’re advertising – sometimes funded by the company itself. The VW Polo video is probably the most famous example of that. VW didn’t fund it, but I’m sure they were happy with the results. And that’s the point. Viral videos can get great results, gain some valuable street cred and attract whole new audiences to your brand. You need to have faith in your brand (and we can help if you don’t) and you can have faith in us. Matmis own brand has been built with a wealth of viral content and we test on ourselves first so our clients take the credit for the stunning results.
