Facebook is a phenomenon which has been around for long enough – with enough of a track record – to be taken seriously. It has values which are open, honest, well intended and have survived enough ups and downs to have a few grey hairs of “experience†to bring to the table. That said, Facebook apps need to be treated with the same care as advergames (free games with subtle branding). If the branding/advertising is too heavy, consumers just switch off. They don’t like traditional Internet advertising (which is where Matmi came in).
