Danielle is one of the design interns working with us. She was born in Chester and is currently studying Computer and Video Games at Salford University.
How did you get in to design?
Design is a broad term. But in general I was always watching family draw so it made me want to try it out myself. After school the only reason I had for taking Art and Design in College was to get better. Three years later I got into university for games design.
What do you enjoy the most about design?
I enjoy design because I think I lack in other subjects so I believe that when I create a piece to a certain standard, I feel good about myself. Which makes me draw again and again to achieve that same feeling, I could say it’s an addiction! I love life drawing.
What has been your proudest design moment so far?
Hard question….I think my proudest design moment is getting where I am. I could say that a piece was the best but everything has helped towards now.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to take with you and why?
Not totally sure. If am to die there I would love to paint the scenery but if there was a chance I could get home I would want:
Boat and food and water. Drawing Supplies and paper and knife.
Who would you most like to meet and why?
I don’t really have a certain person I want to meet, I ‘m just glad to meet everyone, even cashiers when I go shopping since I live alone.
Tell us one unique/amusing fact about yourself.
I can make a fool of myself very easily. People think am weird since am so quiet and watch people do their own things. I can flip my tongue over to one side.
Any tips for budding designers?
Practice, practice, practice.
When I was born I almost caused a problem since I’m the only child with ginger hair, so my dad thought my mum had cheated but my great nan saved the day and said that the ginger gene is super common!
I really want a pet Corgi!
