According to some analysts the next ten years will be the ‘Facebook Decade’, which given the ubiquity of the service, seems like a pretty fair assessment. The theory goes that marketing companies will spend their money buiilding relationships with us in places that we already visit, rather than trying to get us to visit new places.
But you don’t have to be a marketing genius to see that if you want to reach people that social networks are the way to go. Viral marketing is likely to play a big part in how companies reach us in the future, which is good news for Matmi, as we’ve some experience in that field, if you know what I mean.
We, and companies like us, are going to be incredibly valuable in the next few years as more and more organisations seek out new ways of engaging with their customers and to propagate brand awareness in a social medium. Having something that people will tell their friends about will be just as important as having a super-slick billboard ad that people drive past on their way to work.
