Where’s Wally?
Tuesday, May 13th, 2008Never mind about where’s Wally, where’s our new website?! Truth be told, we’re last on our own list at the moment because we’re swamped with work. That’s good because it keeps us out of mischief – and if you know any Flash heads, Java geeks or great illustrators/designers, please put them in touch. (I’m serious! We have some fantastic work coming out in the next few weeks – and you could be a part of it).
Back to the question though. We’ve decided we don’t like the word “website”. It has no appeal, imagination or vision (and it’s seriously overused). The word “site” also implies that you just arrive and nothing happens. The websites we’re breathing life into at the moment are an experience, not a place. “Life is a journey, not a destination” and web experiences are what Matmi is blazing a trail for. They’re going to be fantastic so look out for Matmi’s new “web experience” because it’s going to be very different. Have a sneak peak at http://www.westcornwallpasty.co.uk/ for our latest experience.
And after I’ve built up everyone’s expectations like this, it’ll probably take another two months to finish. (Christ, I hope you like it when it’s done….).
Cheers for now, Jeff
